Salary: $22+ Hourly DOE

We are looking for a Land Development CAD Drafter to grow with us.  As a Drafter, you will work with our engineers performing the following tasks:

 

  • Drafting and Design:
    • Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create detailed drawings, plans, and maps for land development projects.
    • Plans include grading, paving, storm water management, utilities, zoning, profiles, cross sections, and details.
    • Work closely with engineers, architects, and surveyors to interpret sketches, plans, and specifications to produce accurate technical drawings.
    • Incorporate topographic data, survey information, and engineering designs into drafting work.
    • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure that all drafted plans and designs comply with local zoning regulations, building codes, and other regulatory requirements.
    • Stay updated on changes in regulations and codes related to land development to ensure compliance in all drafting work.
    • Projects include residential, commercial, municipal, and industrial projects.
  • Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, architects, surveyors, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of drafting work with project requirements.
    • Communicate effectively with team members to understand project objectives, deadlines, and any specific requirements.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Conduct thorough reviews and checks of drafted plans and drawings to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies.
    • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards in all drafted documents.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping:
    • Maintain organized records of all drafted plans, drawings, and related documentation.
    • Prepare and maintain project documentation including design logs, revision logs, and other relevant records.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement in drafting procedures and workflows.
    • Stay updated on advancements in CAD software and technology to enhance drafting efficiency and quality.
    • Stay updated on changes in regulations and codes related to land development to ensure compliance in all drafting work.
    • This position offers the potential to take on design responsibilities after mastering the Maverick design standards.


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience.
  • Experience in both commercial and residential land development is a plus.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D; knowledge of Carlson a bonus.
  • Technical school degree and/or coursework in civil engineering related drafting.
  • Enthusiastic to contribute to a growing company and motivated to learn.
  • Attention to detail and a willingness to complete projects within deadlines.
